Nigula lake.

Where the Labrador tea (Ledum palustre) flowers, there is usually plenty of it, so the ground is white. It cannot be mistaken for any other flowering plant: it gives off a particular, pungent odour. Thanks to the volatile aromatic ethers you can smell from far away if there is Labrador tea in that part of the bog. The smell is quite strong, so it shouldn’t be breathed in for too long, you might become dizzy. Its flowering time is from the end of May to the end of June, but the plant can be recognized from its smell at other times too.
