Surprises in spring

Nature always offers surprises, when your eyes are open and you see, not only look.
The subject of the photo above has probably already reached a new stage in its life, and shed its beautiful blue petals, but its beauty still lasts in the picture.

This mutation of liverleaf, Hepatica, grows at the edge of Mahtra marsh, at the root of a silver birch. I tried to count how many layers of petals it had heaped on itself, at the fifteenth I lost count. Altogether the plant had 5 flowers and all were similar, many-layered, whereas its neighbours were all “normal”. And I thought that so it is with people too, everything repeats, but yet is unrepeatable
