Bird's-foot trefoil.
In the photo the bird’s-foot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) looks as big as the lady’s slipper orchid, but in reality it is a low plant due to the down-lying stems. The bird’s-foot trefoil makes the ground at our feet pretty all summer with its yellow flowers. It can be found almost everywhere on dry ground: in lawns, on the seashore, on waste land, at forest outskirts.
