Greater stitchwort.
Of all the flowering plants in the meadows now brimming with flowers, the fragile white flowers of the stitchworts (Stellaria) weave the whole field in an airy net. From far away a stitchwort is not even visible but as you approach, the shining white stars are there looking up among the other flowers, and after that you will notice them everywhere. The sandworts (Arenaria) and mouse-ears (Cerastium) have similar pretty white flowers, but they prefer drier fields.
