On Saturday, July 11, an insect study day will take place in Palmse at the Visitor Centre of Lahemaa National Park. Participation is free of charge, and the instructor is Jaan Luig, Tartu University.

At 10 a.m. a three-hour lecture on insects in general, and rare species found in Lahemaa, starts. The lecture is open for all.

On the three-hour excursion after lunch we will collect insects in the forest, fields and waters, try to identify them and to prepare them for preservation. The number of participants in the excursion is limited, so preregistration is needed.

Later in the night, 10 p.m. – 01 a.m. (22 - 01) there will be night collecting of insects, using lights, at the Palmse manor house. All interested are welcome.
