Sea rocket.
The sea rocket (Cakile maritima) is a true companion for strollers on the beach sands, it keeps walkers company with its pretty light mauve flowers until the storms of October. Now, in the middle of summer, it flowers splendidly. When storms beat the shore its roots are bared, a tangled bunch of pale yellow growths. There aren’t many plants that manage to live in the shore sand.
