The honey-tasting cloudberries are ripe for picking, despite the weather that was cold in places during their flowering period. But then there were probably already enough insects around to pollinate these separate-sexed plants. It is worth looking for cloudberries in peat moss bogs with pines, in peat bogs, forested bogs and transition bogs. In Finland the cloudberry harvest will be rather poor this year. A cloudberry "berry" is actually a drupe, made up of small drupelets, with a seed in each individual little part. Cloudberry searchers in Estonia should be happy this year, and skilled cooks can prepare a variety of delicious cloudberry dishes for their friends ...
