Tansy.
The decorative tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) flowers on the seashore and on dry roadsides, but despite its attractive looks its smell of camphor at once conjures up a sickroom atmosphere; the aromatic smell is especially strong when the plant is bruised. The Estonian name for tansy, tavaline soolikarohi, common bowel-wort, tells of the plant’s properties, it has been used to get rid of parasites in the stomach.
