Field scabious.
 
The field scabious is a powerful magnet for bees, they even follow flowers picked in the fields to the veranda when there is field scabious (Knautia arvensis) in the bunch. This big plant – even higher than a meter – grows everywhere in Estonia. Most frequently it grows and flowers as solitary plants among other species, and so it provides a pretty lilac accent to the hayfields until the end of September.
