Rockrose and black medick.
Thanks to the warm weather the common rockrose (Helianthemum nummularium) still flowers prettily although its flowering period usually ends in August. Its large flowers – up to 3 cm – are eyecatching from afar on drier grasslands, particularly their lovely golden colour. On the low plant the flowers of the rock-rose seem to turn their eyes upwards as if saying, we too are still here.
