Lily of the valley.
The beautiful, shiny berries of the lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) are easier to see now – the forest is thinner and the leaves of the plant itself withering. But if you find hundreds of lilies of the valley under the pines, then it is interesting to consider that this whole lot may be just a few individual plants: the rhizome of the lily of the valley is very vital, a very great number of leaf pairs can grow from it. The lily of the valley can of course propagate by seed too.
