Triangles in the sky - cranes

Now, during the surveillance year for the cranes (Grus grus) birdsmen keep their eyes on them. An attempt will for instance be made to map all the lands that can be used by the cranes - listed as a protected species – as they gather for the autumn migration. It is important to know where and how attention should be paid to them. The crane is a long-time native nesting bird in Estonia as well as a passing migrant.
