Starling flocks still to be seen

Starlings.

In addition to the geese there are large flocks of starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) to be seen in fields and gardens although some of our starlings flew away already in the later half of summer. But the autumn migration takes much longer for the starlings than the spring one, experienced bird watchers say. Even now starlings circle around in Estonia in search of food, to build up strength for the next flying stage. They line up nicely on power lines for a count.
