Every child is a scientist

This book is written for school children of all ages. But adults can manage to read it too. There haven’t been any books written in Estonia that tell children about science: about how the world works and moves; about what energy is, how to understand electricity, why it rains, and about many more things around us, telling it straightforwardly and truly, and without extra frills. This book tries, in a simple and clear way, to tell about heaven and earth, as we humans have come to know these things through science.

Because each child is really a scientist. They all observe the world around them with great curiosity, ask about it and try to find answers. And make experiments, to get these answers. So does the scientist, whose curiosity brings up such questions about the world that the book tries to answer. If you read the book, then do so together with your children. You know a person by the ways he thinks, what he does, and how he acts. This book wants the readers, be it children or adults, to use their reason in reading the book and considering the matters that are discussed in it. If we know more about the sun, a grain of sand, a fish, a cat and a dog, we know more about ourselves too.
