Ural owl.

 

A number of reports about Ural owls in cities have been heard this winter. During the last few weeks we have had reliable observations of Ural owls for instance from Haapsalu, Pärnu, Viljandi and Tartu. Some birds have got into quite densely built-up areas. But it is interesting that daytime preying, otherwise typical for famine years, hasn’t been noticed yet this winter.
