One month ago today, Donna and Padis' first chick hatched. The stork camera viewers from the Hancock Wildlife Channel's stork forum have named him Mr. Big, given his quick growth. The weather is rainy and for the stork children this means more food—a perfectly appropriate birthday present from the weather maker.
Tomorrow is probably Mr. Middle's birthday. But Miss Little's birthday is a bit more complicated, because her hatching day isn't clear, at least to me. It's likely that she was the third to hatch. This chain of birthdays gives our storkaholics a reason to party for the next three days. Those who believe Miss Little hatched later…well, they can celebrate even longer. After another month we'll surely see the first flights from the chicks, assuming nothing catastrophic happens in the meanwhile.
