Woodlark.

  Woodlark Nõmmelõoke  Lullula arborea

Another of the first arrivals, here around equinox day. Smaller than the skylark, and with a shorter tail, but very similar plumage.
It flies rising from the ground in long bows, wings flapping. The flight isn’t fluttery as the skylark´s, goes rather in bows and circles. On the ground it runs quickly.
They are about a hundred times fewer than the skylarks. As an estimate, 2000-5000 pairs nest in Estonia.

In comparison, nesting skylarks are thought to be around 500 000 to 800 000 pairs.
