Watchers and listeners in south Estonia assure that the nightingale is announcing warm nights.
The looks of the nightingale are quite humble: olive-brown plumage, pale grey underbody, reddish brown tail for both female and male. On the ground it moves in long jumps. like thrushes – tail upwards, body bobbing. In daytime it avoids flights across open spaces.
It may be quite trusting towards humans and one can watch it doings from only a few steps away.
