This year Klaara laid her first egg on April 6, and the 28 days needed for hatching are counted from this date. So very soon we should be witness to the first new tawny owl family member emerging.
Klaus has furnished his companion with prey when she has been incubating. It isn’t a good mouse year; we will see how things work out.
