Baltic Sea photo contest starts on July 15

The contest takes place as a national event in all nine countries bordering to the Baltic Sea: Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia. The contest is open for 15 to 18-year olds, and there are three photo categories. Winners are selected for each category.
The overall winner of the contest is selected from the category winners. The Grand Prize will be handed over at the disclosure of the results at the Finlandia Nature Photo  festival in Helsinki on October 17, 2010.
All category winners will be invited to an international prizewinners’ cruise to the Archipelago (Saaristomeri) National Park in Finland in the summer of 2011.
The contest starts on July 15, 2010, and the uploading system for photos closes on September 1, 2010.
 

The contest "Baltic Sea - Young Wildlife Photographer 2010" is arranged by WWF Suomi, Finnish Nature Photographers’ Association and Suomen Partiolaiset – Finnish Guiding and Scouting. Patron of the contest is the President of the Republic of Finland, Tarja Halonen.
