A couple of days without serious rain

Text by Gennadi and Urmas

The nights following Midsummer's holiday have been raw, with nighttime temperatures only 6 degrees; and the days have hardly been summer-like. Following the rain, Donna and Padis are busily feeding the chicks -- during the rain they had to fast. The feeding lasts only seconds, so the average observer often cannot determine which of the adults has visited the nest. Though the expert viewers from Hancock's forum can say without fault who has just fed the chicks --  there even appears to be a competition for the fastest one to name the feeder. They have even managed to make still photos for proof. Below are two photos from Mutiklut and Martin, where Mutiklut won in 3 seconds. Whereas we, for example, didn't manage to see the band at all...

And when the weather is fine, it seems that the stork intuder comes to tease the chicks -- which means he comes to sit on a nearby branch, but doesn't bring them any food!
