This year’s Mushroom Exhibition at the Estonian Museum of Natural History is open from September 17th to September 25th at Lai 29A in Tallinn.
The mushroom selection is frequently renewed, reflecting the changes in the mushroom forests. The sunny and thundery weather this year has favoured mushrooms in places, although proper, quietly falling „mushroom rain“ has been scarce. But the mushroom harvest of this year is mostly praised, at least for the russulas and suillus mushrooms. And milk cap friends shouldn’t be disappointed either. Tricholomas, being later, are still gathering their forces. But there is also plenty of dangerous toxic mushrooms in the forests.
The exhibition is open daily, Mondays and Tuesdays included.
After the end of the exhibition all mushroom friends are invited to a lecture by Alvar Jürgenson on „Mushrooms in culture“ on September 30th at 6 pm, in the biodiversity year lecture series.
