This year white-tailed eagles in Estonia bred in 50-60 nests and the number of fledglings was around one hundred (when the exact numbers have been summed up the Eagle Club people will let us know). The young birds of this year have moved southwards, but not very far – over the years the most distant refinds of birds have been reported from Austria.
Our white-tailed eagle camera needs taking down and getting service, but the plan is to set the camera up again in a month, to observe how the adult birds use their nest area outside the breeding period.
