Hello, all bird friends!
Just a reminder that the year of the shrikes and its activities are not at an end yet. Some of us seem to have managed to forget that observations of grey shrikes - made from November 10 this year and until the end of the year - are eagerly awaited. At the moment the working group for the bird of the year have received observation reports of about 35 wintering grey shrikes. As of now the most numerous observations have come from Raplamaa, where 7 birds have been observed. The observations can be seen, and new information submitted, on the home page of the bird of the year:

On the home page is also a link to the biodiversity data base that shows the observed birds on a map.
Please, don’t leave your note of grey shrike encounters only in your notebooks! In January a thorough summary will be made of the wintering of this species and if sending in data is delayed for too long, then sadly they can’t be included in the report.
