After the snowfall. The Otepää highlands
This weather pulls at you to go roaming in the forest: a Christmas tree must be found and brought home, or some other pretext is found. Eyes search for traces of the forest inhabitants’ doings, whether someone has left fresh tracks on the untouched snow. The air is pure and surprisingly fragrant.
Herbivores behave differently from birds and animals of prey these days. The herbivores move little when there is snowfall, wind and drifting snow. The predator animals and birds move around more actively and are more ready to attack.
The forest always has stories to tell.
