"Hello Spring!" once again invites all students to observe nature and to learn to notice the signs of spring approaching .

Observations start on March 1 and go on until mid-May. Participants are asked to register by the end of February.
Register here:
For the phenological observations the students note local natural indicators  of the arrival and progress of spring (spring flowers, migratory birds, first butterflies to appear) which are common to all project participants, and record the date of their appearance, to illustrate the time differences in the arrival of spring in the observed areas. All animals and plants have been chosen so that they should be reasonably common and easy to recognize even for younger students. The date on which the respective species was seen or heard for the first time will be noted.
The data are forwarded by participants to a web-based data base and are instantly available to everyone. Using a digital database created by themselves, the students will also investigate the effect of the geographical location on the changes in weather. Information from the data base is presented – depending on the query – as data tables or animated maps showing the appearance dynamics with time of the indicator species.

In addition to the observations all can take part in a number of activities – write poems, draw, photograph, take part in a quiz and post their impressions of the nature observations in the forum.
