Lazy day

One adult white-tailed eagle had a totally lazy day on Wednesday. It settled in camera view at a quarter past ten in the morning and left towards evening, after having posed for six hours. It seemed that it was fully fed, there was substance to digest. For a few minutes a mate or lady friend visited, and of course crows gathered by and by in the camera area.
So they sit on the „perching trees“ of their territories – shoreline boulders and higher ice banks. Eagles perching like this can be seen every year – they are not  disturbed by passing cars or bicycles, but people walking on the shore are seen as threats. But a white-tailed eagle sitting in one spot for more than 6 hjours I have never seen before. The surroundings of course feel secure for an eagle.

Seal pup voices were heard but none appeared near the eagle although movements of seals could be heard.

The eagle left at 16.16.
