More and more eagles gather at the feeding place, and that causes some wrangling in the food queue. Experienced observers see the difference between young and adult birds.
We are soon in the period when the number of white-tailed eagles is at its peak: it is increased by northerly, non-breeding and roving young birds arriving from the south.
White-tailed eagles become fully mature at 5-6 years old and those who nest here usually don’t migrate.
