Great amounts of valuable material have been recorded and stored in addition to the everyday careful observations. The web camera captures, video clips and comments from forum members help the ornithologists to follow what is happening. During the breeding season specialists are tied up with field work, and checking all the material stored in the server afterwards  is a nearly impossible task. So we have here a unique and efficient co-operation and a meeting place between the enthusiasts and the professionals. Clearly a web diary such as the forum comments provide also helps those of Looduskalender’s viewers who may not have followed developments for some time.
