A big female bear (width of forepaw 15 centimetres) is active near the feeding ground together with her last year’s cubs; they too are rather big already.

 

A week ago they were busy only a couple of hundred metres away from the webcam "as the crow flies", and even in the last few days tracks of their activities have been seen within a radius of a kilometre. Mait and his companions noted the boar herd moving and their sleeping places a couple of kilometres away, quite near the road in a sparse aspen stand. The boars didn’t leave the feeding ground voluntarily, “bear fear” brought them away from their familiar paths.

 

We will see how forest life develops and whom we will meet in the webcam.
