Early in the morning on Saturday, a little before 6 o’clock, the storklets left the nest in the oak tree. A good thing that they left together.

 

The female has already since some time quietly started to move southwards. The young storks will stray around in the surroundings and then, driven by an internal feeling, will also start moving towards the wintering areas. Black storks do not migrate in  flocks or groups.

 

The male visited the nest in the afternoon, took some time for thinking and then he too was gone. On Sunday nobody visited the nest.
