On Friday, before 2 o’clock, the chicks of the black storks were measured, weighed and ringed. At this time of the day it is unlikely that the ornithologists would be caught out by the adults.

 

All the operations were executed under the oak tree, quickly and silently. The storklets seem to feel quite calm. The ordeal in between will be finally forgotten when an adult arrives at the nest with food.
