Morning meal time  – Klaara feeding chick or chicks hatched on Monday …

 

… but we have not seen them yet. Klaara went out last time on Monday morning.

 

As always at the hatching of the chicks Klaara, saves prey brought by Klaus so that she can start to feed it by small pieces to the chicks. An observant viewer can notice  the feeding of the chicks and hear it too.

 

 

In the photo above Klaus is leaving the nest. All took place on Monday evening at about 6 o’clock, a very early hour for tawny owls to be moving about; they usually appear at  dusk.

 

We know this and that about human curiosity. Yesterday evening we saw the whole family in the nest stock. Klaus who had arrived with a mouse couldn’t resist his ”owl curiosity” and pressed in to see who and how many of his offspring were there already in the nest: LINK
