Snowberry
Against a background of bare branches and grey skies the snowberries, earlier a renowned ornamental shrub, have become very visible. It isn’t native in Estonia but the shrub is so widely spread in rural as well as urban landscaped areas and old parks that everybody is familiar with it. Children have always trampled on snowberry fruits in autumn to make them “plop“.
The white eye-catching berries are poisonous.
