First of all many thanks to Olle for eliminating the shortcomings in the direct transmission from Saaremaa. From Monday the deer camera worked without interruptions.

 

On Tuesday Hubert, the stag with the gorgeous antlers, was seen in camera view for the first time this season. The mating period ended in early October. The stags have not gathered in groups yet - the excitement between competitors in the mating period needs cooling off. From early winter onwards however they move companionably together but the older and more important take precedence everywhere and the younger have to know  their place in the flock.

 

The kids from spring move in company with the deer cows. The speckled baby fur has been replaced with the greyish winter coat. They move around mostly in the morning or evening twilight.
