The moon is pleasantly large and there is light to last throughout the whole night. It is only a little darker just before moonrise. The white forest floor reflects the moonlight even to the shadowy sides, so creating a rather different world. Forest creatures know to value such light and make more tracks on their forage trips. In the middle of the night an elk walks in the coppice at the ditch bank, a hare runs across the field. The tracks of foxes get stretched out by another urge except moonlight and hunger already. They make haphazard detours and sniff other foxes’ tracks. The heat period is soon about to begin.
