Cape Põõsaspea
In the morning there was thick fog at Cape Põõsaspea and watching the migration came to nothing. But roaming on the peninsula at Spitham village I raised a red-throated pipit, another interesting species for the year list. Altogether my 2012 list now has 225 bird species.
During the day I moved around in several places in North Läänemaa but no one special caught my eye. But at least I again got a little wiser about the identification of harriers. It is a difficult group, i e identification of females and 2nd calendar year individuals is not easy. All sorts of them were flying about and I could refresh my memory about identification marks thoroughly.
