Flounder
Fishermen on the coast and fishing enthusiasts get quite nice catches of well-fed fish. The menu of flounders depends mostly on the area’s bottom fauna - amphipods, molluscs, mussels, the isopod Saduria entomon or small fish.
The colouring of flounders varies depending on the type of sea bottom. Fish living on sand are lighter than those on dark stones, and the ones among bladder wrack are quite dark. The bottom side is natural white, often with patches of dark pigment.
