Golden eagle Kaljukotkas or maakotkas
A golden eagle pair nests in the bog forests of north-western Estonia and a golden eagle visited the feeding ground last year too, but only when the white-tailed eagles were not too numerous there.
In the video it is worth noting the tail feathers, and the colour of the beak and feet.
Only a little smaller than white-tailed eagles as measures go, but lighter in weight. The forehead of an adult golden eagle is dark brown, the crown and nape golden brown. Beak is black, with yellow cere. The edges of the feathers in the dark brown plumage look worn to a lighter colour.
Young birds have a chocolate brown plumage, with golden crown (Golden Eagle); the feathers at the base of the tail and the wing feathers are broadly white.
Golden eagles are sedentary, or non-migratory, birds and spend the winter near their nesting place. The nest locations are used for decades and the prehistory of many nesting sites goes back to the 19th century according to references in literature and oral traditions. The young non-breeding birds rove around widely
