Sunning is good for you

This bunch of young boars aren’t moving or running but basking in the sun. At a distance an adult boar sow can be seen doing the same thing, and a little further a male boar. Going closer to them would have interrupted a pleasant afternoon for all.
Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin.
The ultraviolet rays of the sun activate a cholesterol variety that exists in the skin of the organism, transforming it into vitamin D. Calcium is taken up more easily from the sedentary organs, and assimilation of phosphorus strengthens bones as well as teeth, and helps in the synthesis of enzymes in the mucous membranes, that transport the calcium present in the organs. Vitamin D normalises the heart functions, and blood pressure and balances the nervous system – whoever you are.
