White-tailed eagles incubate their eggs in the snowfall, ospreys gather strength at the Mediterranean for the migration, and the photo exhibition introducing the two species travelled by ferry from Hiiumaa to Saaremaa. The photos telling us about the hidden life of eagles can be enjoyed in the Kuressaare episcopal castle basement hall during April. The exhibition has already been travelling in Estonia for a year and a half, and Kuressaare is its 14th stopping place.

The moments captured by Estonian and Latvian nature photographers tell us stories from the life of white-tailed eagles and ospreys. The exhibition consists of different parts – portraits, nest life and feeding and wintering. This time visitors can  also watch live images from the white-tailed eagles’ nest webcam. In the exhibition every visitor can compare the life-size wing span of a white-tailed eagle with his or her arm length, and choose a favourite photo which some lucky people can bring home with them from the final lottery draw.

The photo exhibition introducing the eagles is financed by the ESTLAT programme. The Estonian partner in the project "Eagles cross borders" is the Estonian Ornithological Society.
