Time flies and the oldest of the osprey chicks will already be a month old, the others following in order of hatching.
Male osprey Ilmar has an experienced fisherman’s knowledge of the near surroundings. Ilmar’s family will not go hungry but not much is left over or goes to waste from the growing chicks. Female Irma commands and busies herself with the chicks, but the young ones are often left on their own, in order to get used to the outside world. A month more we will still have this nest life, then exploration of the surroundings starts by and by.
