Red-banded polypore
The red-banded polypore is one of the most common perennial tree-living fungus in Estonian forests. It can grow on pines, spruces, and birches as well s other deciduous trees. The fruiting body of a mature red-banded polypore is often recognisable from its bright colours; we can often see a red-orange band at the margin of the fruiting body.
