Mugwort
Where people are busy there mugwort grows too –we find it in the fields and in western Estonia its close relative, the wormwood. In winter there is no point to talk about the differences between the plants.
Mugwort can grow up to one and a half metre tall and stands out proudly even from snowdrifts. We see the weed at the verges of roads as well as gardens, on wastelands, near waters… Mugwort has plenty of seeds, and in winter we can notice passerines sitting on the strong stems, picking at the seeds with gusto.
