But they are really quite delicious. They can go straight into your frying pan without parboiling, and provide a nice taste of the year’s first mushrooms. Their caps are very decoratively honeycomb-patterned. It is worthwhile taking a walk through your mushroom haunts, particularly checking the drier, higher areas. The mushrooms above should still be there in woodlands in northern and western Estonia: in wooded meadows, fresh forests, juniper coppices ..., also in gardens, parks and cemeteries.
