A guest in the nest
Through Eagle TV we've watched a variety of birds who have visited the nest. Understandably, they don't visit when the eagles are at home, though the eagles are seen infrequently on camera. But those who happened to be watching Saturday morning were in luck—the mother eagle visited the nest and slept for an hour. Also fortunate were viewers who tuned in Sunday after lunch and saw the hustle and bustle of an eagle in the nest calling out to her mate (see photo). Probably, seeing the eagle in front of the camera this summer is going to remain a happy coincidence…
Many Lesser Spotted Eagles have eggs in the nest now—one or two eggs and the brooding in full swing. Let's hope next year we'll witness it, too!
