Some backstage news: Ivar went alone in his cayak to the islet to make some “science” - count the pups - and some other things too. There are snatches of phone conversations on the video about where to have the camera and what to show. Viewers get an idea of the technical arrangements and some sense of how really small the “seal islet” is – just a tiny patch of land in the sea.
This is the pups’ first encounter with people – luckily it was with a researcher who knows how to move around and how to behave otherwise.
