Friday's maintenance on the camera's power system was successful—now the entire system is fed by a solar battery similar to the one used for Donna's camera. Since the eagles had left to check out their neighborhood and neighbors, we used the opportunity to adjust the camera picture at their nest.
The eagles spent their weekend building a nest and were especially active in the mornings (see Saturday's archive footage). The male bird brought his catch to the nest, as is normal during the brooding season. The eagle specialists' previous prediction concerning egg-laying time will be probably pushed to the new week—our information is constantly renewed and updated by observing the entire process via the camera…
