Padis left the nest midday for an hour and a half. The weather was sufficiently warm—summer temperatures—but just a few days ago a raven tried to get a meal of scrambled eggs.
A second black stork took flight to the left branch. Was this Donna or another black stork we don't know, but the birdsong suggests it is of the same species. Flight from the nest can be caused by any alarm, for example a casual forest wanderer. In this case, it didn't appear to be a perfectly voluntary exit. It has happened before that the nest has been left, but only for a couple of minutes.
