The camera has been in the new location for a short time, and no cubs have been seen. It does not bother us yet because in the seven badger setts that we visited during last week on the mainland as well as in Saaremaa, the same view met us everywhere. Little movement was seen, from a few burrows sand and soil had been dug out and nowhere were there any tiny tracks of cubs. Probably the silence before the storm. However, badger cubs have already been seen in Läänemaa where two cubs were adventuring on their own and, attracted by the smell, came to a farm yard and went straight up to the smoke oven with flounders. They were so small and silly that they did not shy away from people – they wanted fish.
